Canora and Preeceville health-care clinics offering walk-in services
Residents of Canora, Preeceville, and surrounding areas now have enhanced access to primary health care through walk-in clinic services.
Patients are not required to book an appointment at either clinic and will be seen by a clinician on a first-come, first-served basis for non-emergent conditions including, but not limited to: cough and cold symptoms, sore throat, urinary tract infections (UTI), sinus infections, pink eye, diarrhea, ear infections, fever and vomiting.
Walk-in clinic hours are:
- Preeceville and District Health Centre (712 7 Street NE) is offering walk-in services currently on Tuesday mornings only, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In-person registration starts at 8:15 a.m. Effective July 3, 2024, walk-in services will be offered on Wednesday mornings only. Patients are still able to book regular appointments with their primary care provider by calling the Preeceville and District Health Centre at 306-547-3098.
- Canora Health and Wellness Centre (1219 Main Street) is offering walk-in services on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Patients are still able to book regular appointments with their primary care provider by calling the Canora Health and Wellness Centre at 306-563-5557.
Prescription refills can be renewed by scheduling an appointment with a primary care provider or, in many cases, through a pharmacist.
Individuals requiring emergency services should call 9-1-1. Non-urgent health-related questions may be directed to the provincial HealthLine 24/7 by calling 8-1-1.
