Britney Spears showed off a healthy vacation glow when she was spotted on Monday for the first time after her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake was arrested and charged with a DWI.
The 42-year-old pop superstar was seen after touching down at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles at the conclusion of a short trip to Mexico.
The singer has been seemingly been living her best life in recent days, even as ex Justin has been at a career nadir following his reputation-tarnishing arrest, which followed the release of his underperforming album Everything I Thought I Was.
Britney’s jubilant appearance also comes after a family insider told DailyMail.com that she has finally reconciled with her sons Sean, 18, and Jayden, 17, following months of secret trips to see them in Hawaii and meet-ups in California.
She was dressed for vacation in a playful coral pink mini dress that hugged her curves.
The songstress — who appeared to mock her ex Justin after his DWI by sipping a fruity cocktail in Las Vegas and toasting to ‘the little things’ — opted for a sleeveless outfit to soak up plenty of skin.
She went braless under the super-short dress, which showcased her legs, and she stayed comfortable in a set of Birkenstock sandals with black straps.
The Toxic singer covered her long blond hair with a wide-brimmed straw hat, and she blocked out the beaming light with a cool set of aviator sunglasses.
Britney completed her beach-ready ensemble with a black choker necklace, and she carried a white hoodie with a stain on one of the sleeves and a pale yellow handbag.
She was accompanied by an assistant in casual black jeans and a black suit jacket who carried a large teddy bear for the hitmaker.
Los Angeles is currently experiencing a heat wave, but Britney had her hoodie on during an initial air-conditioned SUV ride, but she stripped out of it as soon as she was back in the sun.
Her outing follows a report that her attorney Mathew Rosengart has ceased representing her following the conclusion of litigation related to her now-defunct conservatorship.
Rosengart, who was essential in pushing to end the arrangement after it was in place for nearly 14 years, stepped down after Spears reached a settlement with her father — and former conservator — Jamie Spears two months ago, a source told CNN.
With the aftermath of the conservatorship wrapped up, Rosengart is said to be turning his focus to the rest of his busy caseload at his Los Angeles–based law firm Greenberg Traurig.
In her memoir, The Woman In Me, Spears credited her attorney with the legal strategy that successfully freed her from her conservatorship.
‘He told me that I deserved the credit for what happened,’ she wrote approvingly.

Britney has been enjoying the sun and heat with multiple trips in recent days, but it’s unclear when she last visited her sons Sean and Jayden, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, 46, as they moved to Hawaii with their father after previously living with him in California for years.
But a well-connected family insider told DailyMail.com earlier on Monday that her relationship with the boys is on the upswing.
Their relationship is said to be ‘fully back on track’ following a public falling out, which the boys and their father attributed to some of Britney’s bizarre social media posts in recent years, many of which featured her posing and dancing in the nude with minimal censoring.
‘Britney has been speaking to, and working on, her relationship with Sean Preston and Jayden for months now,’ the insider shared.
‘The boys have so much love for their mother, as she does for them. Things are fully back on track and they are looking forward to the future together,’ they added.
A second source close to the family indicated that it was Britney older brother Bryan Spears — whom she seems to have a somewhat less-strained relationship with compared to her parents or younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears — who helped set the reconciliation in motion.
‘Bryan was instrumental in facilitating their reunion,’ they revealed. ‘He cares so much for Britney and about his nephews.’
‘She wanted to keep this quiet because she didn’t want it to jeopardize their chances of reconciliation, but she’s actually been back to being their mom again since February,’ they explained.
Britney, who was accompanied by Bryan for part of her vacation last week, even posted a photo of him to Instagram, indicating that he was in her good graces.
‘Looking pretty dapper,’ she wrote of her brother in her caption, in which the Stronger singer revealed she was still in contact with her sons.
‘I sent it to my kids and I think that they got jealous because they said “that’s a filter…that’s not real,”‘ she joked.
The boys have been living full time in Hawaii since August of 2023, when their father moved his family, including Victoria Prince, his wife of 10 years, and their two daughters: Jordan, 12, and Payton, nine.
The source indicated that Britney had seen Sean and Jayden at their Hawaii home several times this year, and it was a natural fit since Britney has vacationed in the island state going back years.
In addition to seeing Sean and Jayden at their home, the source added that the boys also visited Britney at her home during trips back to California.
Her sons are a product of her short-lived marriage to Kevin, whom she married in October 2004 after a brief romance.
They welcomed Sean in September of 2005, and Jayden was born around a year later in September 2006.
But just two months after welcoming Jayden, Britney filed for divorce, and the divorce was wrapped up by July of 2007.
The boys and her ex were connected to the start of the singer’s conservatorship in 2008, following a January incident in which she refused to return the boys to Kevin’s representatives when it was his turn to care for them.
After police arrived at her house, she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold, then later placed under a conservatorship.
The arrangement took hold of both her finances and her personal life, and Spears claimed she was prevented from driving herself during that period.

She also alleged in court that she was prevented from marrying her future husband Sam Asghari, and she said her efforts to have a baby with her now-ex were thwarted after she was allegedl prevented from having her IUD birth control removed.
They later married in June 2022, but in August 2023 it was reported that they had separated amid her increasingly bizarre behavior, which she regularly broadcast on social media.
The two reached a divorce settlement in early May, but their marriage isn’t scheduled to officially be dissolved until December 2 of this year.
Lately, Britney has been enjoying herself as her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake has seen a wave of bad press following his arrest for a DWI in Sag Harbor, New York.
He was arraigned on the misdemeanor charge, as well as less-serious traffic violations, but he is reportedly sticking to his ongoing tour schedule.
The saga took new shape after a source claimed to Page Six that Timberlake had actually been stopped twice by the same police officer.
Sag Harbor police officer Michael Arkinson, 23, allegedly stopped Timberlake the first time to advise him to stop driving and to call a car to take him to his destination, though he allegedly let him off with a warning as he didn’t appear to pose an immediate threat.
But then Timberlake, rather than calling a taxi or ride-share vehicle, continued driving, and Arkinson allegedly saw him driving through a stop sign while patrolling a different part of the Hamptons village that night.
The source went on to berate Timberlake, calling him a ‘dumba**,’ and adding, ‘I am thinking he could afford a driver. How’s that for entitlement?’
Britney seemed to poke fun at her ex’s predicament during her recent stay in Vegas when she posted herself sipping a fruity cocktail on Instagram and toasting to ‘the little things.’
She also referenced Timberlake’s ex Cameron Diaz in another post that referenced her film There’s Something About Mary, though it’s unclear if she intended that to be a veiled dig at the NSYNC singer.
Some of Britney’s fans applauded Justin’s recent legal trouble, which they saw as comeback for comments he made in 2007 that many viewed as a veiled critique of his ex.
In 2007, while accepting a Brit Award in a pre-recorded speech, he added: ‘Stop drinking. You know who you are. I’m speaking to you. Stop drinking, you’re going to get sloppy. OK! [Magazine] is going to say something bad about you.’
Fans took him to be referring to Britney, who only two days later shaved her head amid her spiraling behavior, though Timberlake later claimed to GQ that he was not referring to Spears, and a rep for him later claimed that he was jokingly referring to audience members.
