Boston Celtics sweep Indiana Pacers to advance to NBA Finals – TSN.ca
The Boston Celtics advanced to the NBA Finals for the second time in three years on Monday with a 105-102 victory over the Indiana Pacers to sweep their Eastern Conference Finals series.
The Celtics will face either the Dallas Mavericks or Minnesota Timberwolves for the NBA championship.
Boston is currently tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for most titles in NBA history with 17 each.
The Celtics were defeated by the Golden State Warriors in six games when they last advanced to the Finals in 2022.
Last season the Miami Heat eliminated them from the East Finals in a seven-game series.
Boston captured their 17th title in 2008, when led by playoffs MVP Paul Pierce, they defeated the Lakers in six games.
