BoP Junior National Tennis finals today

LAHORE: The finals of all the age group categories of the Bank of Punjab Junior National Tennis Championship will be played on Wednesday (today).

The championship witnessed an exciting day of tennis at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy in Nishtar Park, Lahore on Tuesday. In the Boys U-18 Semi-finals, Asad Zaman had a walkover victory against Haider Ali Rizwan.

In the Boys U-16 Semi-final, Ahtesham Humayun secured a spot in the finals with a convincing win over Nabeel Qayum, defeating him 6-0, 6-1 in a one-sided match. In Boys U-14 Semi-final, Abdur Rehman displayed exceptional skill, beating M Uzair 4-0, 4-1. In a thrilling contest, Waqas Janas edged out Aalay Hussain with a scoreline of 3-5, 4-1, 10-7.

In Boys U-14 Doubles Semi-final, the pair of Abdur Rehman and Essa Fahad overcame M Abdullah and Anis Khan in a closely fought match, winning 3-5, 4-0, 13-11. M Junaid Khan and M Uzair triumphed over Aalay Hussain and M Huzaima with a 5-3, 4-1 victory.

In Boys U-12 Quarter-finals, M Ibraheem Hussain Gill defeated Salaar Kamran 4-0, 4-1, while M Arsh Imran had an easy win over M Taha Asad, finishing 4-0, 4-0. In a nail-biting match, M Junaid Khan beat M Ayan 3-5, 5-3, 5-3 to advance to the next round.

In Boys/Girls U-12 Doubles Semi-finals, the duo of M Ibraheem Hussain Gill and Hajra Suhail beat Salman Pirzada and M Arsh Imran 5-4, 5-3. M Muaz and M Ayan secured a straightforward victory over M Ayan Khan and Ohad e Mustafa, winning 4-0, 4-0.

In Boys/Girls U-10 Quarter-finals, M Ibraheem Hussain Gill continued his winning streak, defeating M Musa 4-0, 4-0. M Ayan overcame Daniyal Afzal Malik 4-1, 4-2. Omer Hassan Pirzada beat M. Azan Imran 5-3, 5-3, and M. Arsh Imran triumphed over Behroze Maimoon 4-2, 4-1.
