Pirates vs Blue Jays Prediction

The Saturday MLB schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Toronto Blue Jays from the Rogers Centre. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Pirates (26-31) are two games below .500 on the road and are eight games off the pace in the NL Central Division race. Last night, Pittsburgh batters went an alarming 1-for-15 with runners in scoring position during a 5-3 road loss against Toronto in 14 innings.

Twenty-eight year old righty Mitch Keller (6-3 3.59 ERA) will take the mound for the Pirates in this matchup. Pittsburgh has won Keller’s last four starts and he has allowed just four runs over his last 27 plus innings.

The Toronto Blue Jays are riding a four-game winning streak and tied with Tampa Bay in the AL East Division basement. On Friday, OF Davis Schneider sent the Toronto fans home happy with a walkoff two-run blast that scored SP Jose Berrios gave up one run in seven innings and did not factor in the decision for the Blue Jays (27-29), who improved to 13-12 at home.

The Blue Jays will counter with thirty-two year old southpaw Yusei Kikuchi (2-4 3.25 ERA) on Saturday. Toronto is winless in Kikuchi’s last five starts and he has given up 12 runs (11 ER) across his last 27 plus frames.
