Big 12 Announces Men’s Basketball Opponents – TCU Athletics

FORT WORTH – The Big 12 Conference announced its men’s basketball schedule matrix on Thursday for the new-look 16-team conference.

The format is similar to last season, but with 20 games instead of 18. Every team will play each other at least one time, either home or away, and play five teams twice, home and away.

The Horned Frogs will play BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Utah at home only and Arizona, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Houston and Iowa State on the road only. Baylor, UCF, Colorado, Texas Tech and West Virginia will be played both home and away.

Opponents were selected based on a combination of geography, historical results and a poll of the coaches to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitive balance. A full Big 12 schedule will be released at a later date.

TCU tied its best finish and most wins ever in the Big 12 last season with a ninth-place finish and a 9-9 record. Jamie Dixon returns for his ninth season as the head coach of the Horned Frogs, who are led by returning starter Ernest Udeh Jr.

The season ticket renewal process will begin soon. Contact TCU Ticket Sales at 817-257-1849 for more information.
