A contract update has emerged regarding WWE star Becky Lynch who is reportedly close to her current deal expiring.

Lynch’s contract is known to expire on June 1, which is just a couple of days away now, despite her being booked for another championship match on tonight’s Raw.

Lynch dropped the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at King & Queen of the Ring, but is set for a rematch in a steel cage on Raw.

In an update from Fightful Select, as of this morning, Becky Lynch and WWE had still not reached terms on a new contract.

The sides have been in contact, but nothing is signed as of yet.

If it gets to June 1 and that remains the case, Becky Lynch will officially be a free agent.

There’s no confirmed word on whether the situation will affect plans for tonight’s match.

She is said to be expected by people in the industry to get the biggest contract offer for a woman in wrestling history.

Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins’ contract also came close to expiring recently, but he did re-sign with the company.
