BCWS has listed the wildfire along Long Joe Road as ‘under control’.
‘Under Control’ means the wildfire is not projected to spread beyond the current perimeter.
The wildfire is mapped at 1.9 hectares in size.

The Anarchist Mountain Fire Department shared an update on Facebook confirming that a wildfire was started Monday night from a car fire.
The fire department, along with several neighboring fire departments, is currently on scene on Long Joe Road fighting the wildfire, which is estimated to be one hectare in size.
UPDATE: 6:08 p.m.
The Anarchist Mountain fire is currently listed at one hectare in size, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
Fire information officer Taylor Coleman says crews are supporting the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department.
“There is one initial attack crew and a wildfire officer. It is a rank one fire behavior, so a smoldering ground fire with a slow rate of spread,” she said.
UPDATE: 5:45 p.m.
Oliver fire crews have been called in to assist with the Anarchist Mountain fire under the South Okanagan Regional Wildfire Response Task Force.
The blaze is now included on the BC Wildfire Service map, though it is noted at zero hectares in size.
The Oliver Fire Department, in a post on social media, reminded the public to be “mindful of emergency vehicles from our dept and others traveling the highway to assist with this emergency.”

Fire crews are reportedly on scene at a blaze on Anarchist Mountain near Osoyoos that was putting up black smoke Monday afternoon.
Early reports on social media and word from the Osoyoos Fire Department, which was not currently on scene, say that it is a vehicle fire.
Anarchist Mountain Fire Department is reportedly tending to the situation.
