Kostas Sloukas: We are the best team in Europe right now

Nunn praised Sloukas post-game, following his stellar display.

“That boy has a lot of heart,” he said.

“He’s a leader, he leads with his voice and he got it done tonight.”

Sloukas equally expressed his pride in the team, after being voted the Final Four MVP.

“I’m very proud of the team – I tried to give everything, I know Real Madrid is a great team but […] we are the best team in Europe right now,” Panathinaikos’s no.10 said.

Lessort, meanwhile, was in disbelief at what the newly crowned champions were able to achieve.

“I said all year I just want to win, this is the cherry on the cake,” he told Euroleague media.

“I’m speechless. It’s amazing what we’ve just done in one year together.”

He dedicated the Championship win to his homeland of Martinique, adding: “This title is for my whole island.

“I’m the first one to do it. It just shows that it is possible and that wherever you are from, whatever you have been through… if you believe in yourself and if you work hard – everything is possible.

“This means more than just a title.”
