‘B-Pass’ helps you save money while shopping around town

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The City of Bakersfield has launched a new free mobile pass for community members to save money while shopping at businesses around town, according to city officials.

The Bakersfield Savings Pass, simply known as the “B-Pass,” works as a curated digital coupon book that offers deals and discounts to: restaurants, museums, entertainment locations and other attractions, according to Megan Simpson, Communications and Marketing Manager for Visit Bakersfield.


The mobile savings pass is not an app, but it can get you discounts and 2-for-1 offers.

How it works:

  • Get your passSign up for the pass at this link. New offers will be added regularly.
  • Receive a text – Your passport will be instantly delivered to your phone were you can receive exclusive deals through text and e-mail. There’s no app to download. Instead you can save your pass on your phone’s home screen for easy access.
  • Redeem – When visiting a business on the list, show your pass to the attendant or staff member to redeem available discounts.
