Rennie, the B.C.-based real estate marketing firm, has been named the exclusive broker for Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community.

The company will be tasked with managing sales inquiries from Canadian homebuyers interested in living closer to the Disney magic in California.

“For more than 40 years, our people-first approach has supported the real estate needs of countless clients and new communities,” said Rennie President Greg Zayadi in a statement announcing the partnership.

“We know how excited Canadians are to learn more about the Cotino community and we can’t wait to assist them on their real estate journey.”

Located in Rancho Mirage in the Coachella Valley, the master-planned Cotino community is Disney’s first foray into residential development under the Storyliving by Disney banner.

The 618-acre community will feature 1,900 residential homes, including single-family dwellings as well as condos. Cotino will also feature a membership-only club house — staffed by, of course, Disney “cast members” trained in the Disney way — hosting various amenities and programming. A town centre will offer shopping and dining, designed around Cotino Bay, a massive lagoon that allows for water recreation.

The first phase of sale will see 300 single-family homes hit the market this year, ranging from the upper $1 million USD to the lower $2 million USD.

Walt Disney Imagineers, the same branch of the company responsible for designing and creating the look and feel of the world-famous theme parks, were in charge of developing the creative style of the homes and community, working alongside developers and homebuilders.
