ATP Mallorca Best Bets Including Fognini vs Mensik
ATP 250 Mallorca 1/8-Finals
Mensik – Fognini: 26.06.2024 13:00 CEST
H2H: 1-1
Jakub Mensik has lost four of his last five matches. Mensik had a breakthrough season. However, the injuries stopped his great run. Last week in Halle, Mensik lost in the first qualifying round against Otte in straight sets. So far in his career, Jakub has played only five matches on grass, and has a losing 2-3 record. Even though his playing style would fit this surface, Mensik still finds it hard. However, here in Mallorca, Mensik defeated Eubanks in the first round in three sets. Jakub had an amazing serving performance, which was the main reason why he won that match.
Fabio Fognini has won three of his last five matches. Last week, Fognini lost against Bonadio in the 1/8-Finals of the challenger tournament in Sassuolo. Before that, Fognini reached the quarterfinals in Perugia, where he lost against Darderi in straight sets. He spent most of this season playing at the challenger tour level. Fabio won his first round match here in Mallorca against Brouwer in two tiebreaks. Fognini rarely plays on grass, but he was given a main-draw wildcard. This was the first match that he won on the grass court since Wimbledon 2021.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Mensik is the favorite in this matchup. We believe that he showed great tennis in his first round match against Eubanks, who is a solid grass court player. Fognini never had any remarkable results on grass.
That being said, Mensik winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Jubb – Walton: 26.06.2024 15:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Paul Jubb has won three of his last five matches. Last week in London, Jubb lost in the qualifying tournament against McDonald in straight sets. Here in Mallorca, Paul fought through the qualifying tournament by winning both matches in straight sets. In the first qualifying round, Jubb won against Nadal. We need to mention that he played against John Nadal, and not Rafael Nadal. After that, Jubb won against Monteiro in two easy sets. In the first round, Jubb defeated Marterer in two easy sets. It was another great performance from the young Brit.
Adam Walton has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Halle, Walton lost against Hanfmann in the first qualifying round. Here in Mallorca, Walton also fought through the qualifying tournament. He won both of his qualifying matches in straight sets. Today, Walton had a rematch against Yannick Hanfmann. This time, Walton was the better player on the court, and won the match in straight sets easily.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Jubb is a way more experienced grass court player than Walton. His first round performance against Marterer was outstanding, so he will definitely be confident tomorrow.
That being said, Jubb winning is a value bet.
