Apple Releases First Public Betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, More

Apple today released the first public betas of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, none of which include any Apple Intelligence features. The first public beta of watchOS 11 is available today as well.

“Help make the next releases of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS and HomePod software our best yet,” the Apple Beta Software Program website explains. “As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can take part in shaping Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think.”

I’ve been testing iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia since the first developer beta, and while the first few releases were rough on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, it’s been much smoother since then. So the public betas are hopefully in similar shape. I will say I’m a huge fan of the new home screen customization capabilities on iPhone and iPad, in particular the automatic theme combined with one of the new dynamic wallpapers.

You can learn more about each release on their respective websites: iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11.
