Kanpur: Anandeshwar Polypack XI defeated Mohini Tea XI by 5 wickets and booked a berth in qualifier round of JNT U-12 cricket tournament being held here at Kanpur South ground on Tuesday.The winners with this win ousted Mapplewood XI from qualifier round. On the other hand Mohini Tea had already qualified for qualifier round therefore this loss did not make any impact on its place.Mohini Tea deciding to bat first scored 125 runs in stipulated 25 overs. Anukalp Saini was the main scorer as he contributed 54 runs. Abhimanyu Singh captured 2 for 29 runs. In reply the top order of Anandeshwar Polypack failed to click and soon they were reduced to 5 for 57. Arnav Shukla and Dev Dubey contributed 19 and 40 runs respectively. Mohini Tea’s bowlers also helped Poly pack batsmen by dropping 25 wide balls. After the match Abhimanyu Singh of Anandeshwar Polypack was adjudged as man of the match.
