Amid protests, CM says will ensure jobs for youth – Times of India

Jaipur: Amid protests by young men across the state against increasing the reservation for women, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday said that the govt will ensure jobs for them too and industries will be set up to give employment. The chief minister said that soon vacant posts in various departments will be filled by conducting recruitment examinations in a phased manner.“The way young people are commenting on social media is not right. I want to tell them that we are working for empowering the women and we will also give full opportunities to young men. They will be given every chance, and no effort will be spared. The participation of youth in future government jobs and industries will be ensured,” said Sharma.Sharma gave the statement while addressing a gratitude ceremony by Nari Shakti on Saturday at the chief minister’s residence for increasing the reservation of women to 50%.“Women comprise half the population and we know that without their contribution our state or country cannot be empowered. Women empowerment is not limited to economic independence but it also about providing equal opportunities to women in social, educational and political fields because if women are empowered, they will contribute significantly in development of the family and society,” said the CM.
