AMANDA PLATELL: What drives ex-mistress Lauryn to humiliate football star Kyle’s wife? As far as I’m concerned, her behaviour is unforgivable…

Has any ex-mistress ever proved to be such a continuing nightmare?

I’m talking about Lauryn Goodman, with whom England footy vice captain Kyle Walker cheated on his wife and mother of their four children, Annie Kilner, twice.

Because Lauryn, a high-profile influencer, hasn’t just been sharing family pictures of Kyle with thousands of followers, flagrantly parading on social media his infidelity and the two children she had with him.

She’s turned up at the Euros with her and Kyle’s young son Kairo. He’s wearing a Three Lions shirt with Kyle’s No 2 on it, emblazoned with the word ‘Daddy’.

Lauryn is the horror show that just won’t go away.

Poor Annie’s predicament is made worse by the fact she’s also at the Euros and her children are wearing No 2 England shirts with ‘Dad’ on them.

It must have been unbearable for Annie to be in the same stadium as her husband’s former dalliance. And even worse that her kids this week were cheering Daddy on one side of the pitch while Lauryn’s and Kyle’s was doing the same on the other.

What I find so horrible about Lauryn’s behaviour is that most women who have had their marriages violated can hide their pain in private, rage at their husband’s unfaithfulness and speak about it with their girlfriends. They don’t have it rubbed in their face before the world’s cameras.

Sorry Lauryn but, as far as I’m concerned, it is unforgivable. What is driving you?

Is it simply that you are demanding recognition for your two children by Kyle? Do you want him to up his offer of substantial undisclosed payments, and upgrade the £2.5 million seaside mansion he has given you? Or is it a desire to humiliate Annie?

Whatever the case, I think Lauryn is a disgrace. And, what a horrible legacy to leave for all the children involved.

An accent on success

House Of The Dragon star Olivia Cooke has talked about the ‘really sad’ moment she felt she had to change her Northern accent to succeed.

It reminded me of the sage advice I got from my Scottish boss Frank Peters in my first job in London.

He took me aside after I had been ridiculed for my Aussie drawl.

‘Lassie, don’t change, let them laugh, let them think you’re just a stupid girl,’ he said.

‘Then watch them crawl when you get their jobs.’

And I did.

Gary Lineker says he’ll apologise after bald-shaming his pal and former ace footballer Frank Lampard over his thinning hair during commentary of the Euros. Maybe Lineker is just jealous of Lampard, happily married to gorgeous wife Christine for nearly ten years while Lineker remains single, his only night time companions his sad 8.6 million X (Twitter) followers.

Low blow for J-Lo

Despite rumours about their separation and the fact that, until now, most sympathy has been with Ben Affleck, last weekend Jennifer Lopez posted a picture of her husband.

She complimented him on being a great stepdad to her twins, writing: ‘Our hero. Happy Father’s Day.’

He, meanwhile, spent the day celebrating with his own children and their mother, his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

That was the moment women everywhere switched to team J-Lo.

Ahead of his Got Back world tour, aged 82, billionaire Sir Paul McCartney says he has ‘always had moments of self-doubt’ and that he’s ‘got a lot of reasons to believe I’m good, but I don’t’. To which we millions of fans reply: get back those doubts to where they once belonged, let it be, they’re not silly love songs, fame is a long and winding road that always leads us back to your door.

Why we’ll all miss dear Donald…

Kiefer Sutherland pays tribute to his father Donald, the Don’t Look Now Actor, who has died aged 88: ‘He loved what he did and did what he loved, a life well lived.’

I most fondly remember him playing Mr Bennet in Pride And Prejudice.

As his daughter Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) was being coerced into a marriage she didn’t want, he told her: ‘Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr Collins and I will never see you again if you do.’

Now that’s my kind of dad.

Discovering a camper who’d put up a tent on his land, Devon farmer Jack Bellamy covered the trespasser in slurry with his manure spreader. Perhaps we should employ an army of farmers to do the same every time eco-nutters deface a national heritage site such as Stonehenge.

Marvellous Middletons

A sweet moment at Ascot when Prince William rescued his mother-in-law Carole Middleton after her heel got stuck in grass.

Insiders say Carole and husband Michael have constantly been by Kate and William’s side during her cancer treatment.

And to think that snobs once derided them as socially ambitious ‘commoners’.

Despite another injury, Andy Murray is battling to play a final time at Wimbledon and represent Britain in the Olympics. Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the Games which will be on tough, clay courts, saying she is ‘prioritising my body’. No prizes for guessing who’s the true British champion.

Election Watch

Ahead of LBC’s interview with Keir Starmer, Nick Ferrari revealed half of all listeners’ questions for the Labour leader were not about the NHS or tax, but the fate of the calf rammed by a police car. Proving most folk think this election is bullocks.

It says much about the nation’s despair that while 17 per cent of voters support Rishi, and 38 per cent Keir, 45 per cent don’t know how they’ll vote — or maybe even care who becomes PM.

With less than two weeks to go to polling, still no sign of Keir’s wife, the fragrant Lady Victoria, missing in action, and leaving us bewildered as to why she is not seen at his side as he gallops to a historic victory.

Easy for Rishi to vow he’d stay on as an MP if the Tories lose, when polls show he is unlikely to even win his own Yorkshire constituency, and could become the first ever sitting PM to lose his own seat in an election.

Future Chancellor Rachel Reeves, 45, says as a teenager she didn’t have pictures of pop stars in her bedroom but a framed one of Gordon Brown. Is that just sad, or really scary?

Gobsmacked by Queen Camilla’s brooch at Ascot. It’s the Delhi Carved Emerald, ‘gifted’ to Queen Mary, the late Queen’s grandmother.

Mary’s other rare gift was being an ‘upmarket kleptomaniac’ who pressured stately home owners into giving her their treasures. Maybe that giant green gobstopper’s not Camilla’s to wear after all .

Relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42 — nursing Eamonn Holmes through his split from wife Ruth Langsford — says she is just a friend helping him through torrid times. Given that Eamonn using his Zimmer frame looks more fragile than Joe Biden, I believe her.
