Alarm causes prompt evacuation from Jelgava shopping mall Vivo – Baltic News Network
Due to a tripped alarm in the afternoon on Thursday, the 27th of June, Vivo shopping mall was evaluated, as the city council informed LETA.
According to the municipality, the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) received a call at 14:42 to Vivo shopping mall, where the alarm was tripped. Approximately 300 people were evacuated and Vivo was closed off for visitors for a time.
VUGD reports that a malfunction was found in the building’s compressor room. This malfunction was fixed, and VUGD’s assistance was no longer needed.
