Alabama football recruiting: Developments have Tide trending for top 2025 prospects ahead of visit weekends
Alabama is fresh off a big recruiting weekend and is set to host 20+ prospects from the class of 2025 by the end of June. Bama247 recruiting insider Brett Greenberg joined the College Football Recruiting show this week and addressed where the Crimson Tide stands with several top prospects.
Greenberg disclosed new developments for a trio of Top247 prospects that visited May 31, including SMU quarterback commit Keelon Russell and five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood. Russell is Alabama’s top target at QB, and Greenberg disclosed how big of a threat the Crimson Tide is to flip the four-star signal-caller after his visit.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer and Co. will host nine visitors this weekend and another eight June 14. Greenberg shared recent recruiting updates on three of those prospects and how they feel about the new staff in Tuscaloosa before making the trip south. Top-75 linebacker Dawson Merritt headlines that trio.
