Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad was crowned champions of the Reliance Inter-District Men U-19 Multi-Day Tournament 2024-25 by beating Surat on the basis of first-innings lead.In the final, Ahmedabad, opting to bat first, amassed 626 for seven declared in their first innings courtesy Luv Padhiyar’s 201 and Vedant Trivedi’s 185. In reply, Surat was bowled out for 324 and they had Krrish Chauhan to thank for this, who made 204. Ahmedabad captain Aksh Dave took five for 44.In the U-16 final too, Ahmedabad emerged champions on the basis of first-innings lead against Surat. Surat were bowled out for 143 in their first innings. For Ahmedabad, Shivam Patel and Swapna Patel took 3/8 and 3/27 respectively. In reply, captain Nihal Patel’s 148 and Yuvraj Kishanchandani’s 108 took Ahmedabad to 430. Surat reached 29/2 in 10 overs in their second innings before a draw was agreed upon.
