Women’s Golf Announces 2024-25 Schedule – High Point University Athletics

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women’s golf team has released its 2024-25 schedule, which was announced by HPU Head Coach Lyndsey Hunnell on Thursday morning.

“We’ve got a great schedule planned for this coming season,” Hunnell said. “It is the strongest schedule the program has ever had. We will get to compete against some highly ranked teams and big schools. We will also have some good tournaments to help prepare us for match play at conference this year. I’m excited to see how the team performs in this competitive schedule.”

The Panthers kick off their season on September 7, heading to play in the Golfweek Fall Challenge at the Caledonia Fish and Golf Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. High Point travels to the Palmetto State for back-to-back tournaments, with the next in Greenville for the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman University September 20-22.

Returning home to North Carolina for a two-day tournament Sept. 30 through Oct. 1, the Panthers bus to East Carolina University for the Pirate Collegiate Classic. The Panthers then take a trip down to Savannah October 14-15 for The Southern 2024, which is hosted by Georgia Southern University.

Wrapping up the fall season, HPU will be right in the Triad at the UNCG Collegiate hosted by our neighbor UNC Greensboro on October 21-22.

On February 10, the Panthers begin their spring season in Charleston, South Carolina at the Oyster Shuck Match Play hosted by The Citadel. Staying in Charleston, High Point will face some conference competition for the fourth consecutive season at the Rivertowne Invitational, hosted by Charleston Southern, on February 17-18.

For the third straight year, High Point and UNC Greensboro face off in the Battle of the Triad in a one-day match play bout at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro on February 22. It’ll be the second time the Panthers have played those links after the UNCG Collegiate in October.

The Panthers take a trip down South, returning to Jacksonville, Florida for the second straight year, where HPU will play in the UNF Collegiate March 3-4.

Coming back to the Carolinas, the Panthers will be in Spartanburg, South Carolina for the Low Country Intercollegiate, which is hosted by Wofford for a three-day tournament March 21-23.

High Point will close out the regular season with a trip to College Park, Maryland for the Terp Invitational on April 6-7.

Looking for their first Big South Conference title, the Panthers head back to Fripp Island, South Carolina for the Big South Championships April 13-16 at the Ocean Creek Golf Course. The top four teams after three rounds of stroke play will advance to match play with a chance to be crowned champions. The winner and top individual will advance to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals.
