Triple H: WWE won’t have issues on Netflix with censoring crowd chants & promos

Paul “Triple H” Levesque appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer addressed the company’s 10-year, $5 billion TV rights deal with Netflix on the show. He said that once Raw moves to the streaming service in January, certain restrictions they deal with on television will no longer be an issue.

“Netflix is a completely different animal,” Levesque said. “It’s a streaming service, how are commercials going to work? How are breaks going to work? What’s the length of time? What are the restrictions? What are not restrictions?”

“Just as an example, us being on FOX, if the crowd chants ‘holy shit’ or something much worse, they just take the audio (out). Sometimes they take the picture and the audio off and it’s just a black screen.”

“The Rock comes in and you sort of can’t tell The Rock what to do. What are we going to tell him? So, he sort of does what he does. We won’t have those issues with Netflix.”

Levesque appeared on McAfee’s show on Monday to promote the company’s newly announced deal to bring Royal Rumble 2025 and a future WrestleMania and Royal Rumble to Indianapolis. Triple H said that McAfee, who spent eight seasons as the Indianapolis Colts punter, played a role in bringing the events to the city.

“You’ve been the biggest advocate for all these events coming to Indianapolis,” Levesque said to McAfee.

“Indianapolis should be thanking Pat McAfee,” he later added. “When Pat walks out tonight (on Raw), everybody should stand up and worship him.”

There was also another tease of a possible Wyatt Sicks attack during the show.

Levesque also clarified that nobody was murdered on Raw last week when the Wyatt Sicks debuted. Chad Gable is still alive and was not shot in the head during the segment.

“He’s good,” Levesque said of Gable. “You see things on TV and it escalated quickly from there’s Chad Gable laying down, he’s obviously unconscious, has a little bit of blood on him to ‘Oh my god, he got shot in the head and he’s dead.’”

“It’s one of the wonderful things about our fans is they just love to be engaged in the product and to, in their minds, fantasize where it could go, what it’s going to be,” he continued. “It’s an awesome part of what we do. Every now and then we have to pull back into reality a bit like, no, Chad Gable is still alive.”

Gable is scheduled to wrestle a Money in the Bank qualifying match on tonight’s Raw.

Levesque closed the show by addressing the latest updates in The Bloodline, including Jacob Fatu’s debut on Friday’s SmackDown.

“He’s a game changer,” Levesque said of Fatu.

“Let’s hope Heyman’s nerves can take it until (Roman Reigns) comes back, cause Heyman looks like he’s on his very last nerve,” he continued.
