Childcare infrastructure fund open for applications

The fund aims to preserve existing infrastructure for licensed childcare centres and create new licensed centre-based childcare spaces in the NWT.

According to a press release, the fund’s total budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year is approximately $5.9 million.

Licensed centre-based early learning childcare programs, Indigenous governments, non-profit organizations, community-based programs and education bodies can apply for funding.

The amount of funding applications may receive will be determined based on proposals and the amount of funding available.
