Steamwheelers hold youth football camp

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – The Quad City Steamwheelers held a youth football camp Sunday. Kids got to take part in drills and games with the players and coaches.

“I’ll say it until my last breath, it’s amazing to have people like us in this position to influence the youth because you know ten five years down the road they may look back on this and it could be an opportunity for them to give someone an opportunity like this so it’s always great and I love it” said Steamwheelers WR Keyvan Rudd.

Kids also were able to get autographs and take pictures with the players.

“Every home game that we have you can see the support in the crowd, and when we’re out in the community you can see the support, so they’ve done such a good job of taking a lot of guys that aren’t from the area and welcoming us and making the experience so great for us, it’s just awesome to do little things like this to kind of give back” said quarterback Judd Erickson.

The Steamwheelers final home game of the regular season is July 6th against Sioux Falls.
