Duncan Christian School golf fundraiser a ‘huge success’

The money raised will go to the ‘DCS Expansion Project’ for the new school building

Duncan Christian School organized a fundraising golf tournament at the Cowichan Golf & Country Club on June 1, which was a huge success. More than 50 players and guests had a fantastic day out on the green before gathering for dinner and a silent auction.

DCS principal Peter Terpstra thanked all guests and sponsors for supporting the DCS Expansion Project for the new school building.

“We are blessed to live in such a great community and are very grateful for all the support we are receiving,” Terpstra noted. “The new elementary and middle school building will help us to service our community even better and to meet the needs to offer more space for families and children in the coming years. We thank all our donors, sponsors, and school families, as well as the community in Cowichan Valley for their support.”

School officials would like to thank the sponsors and donors for the golf tournament: Khowutzun Forest Services, RavenStone Construction, the Cowichan Valley Citizen newspaper, Cycle Therapy Bicycles, and Norman Jackson from the Cowichan Golf & Country Club, all of whom made the event happen.
