Phenom releases his Street Fighter 6 Season 2 tier list featuring 3 DLC characters in the top 6

It’s been over a month since Akuma and the Season 2 patch were released for Street Fighter 6. As such, top level players have had plenty of time to get a good feel for the new meta.

NIP|Phenom recently released a new tier list that ranks every character that’s currently playable in Street Fighter 6 Season 2. In no particular order, six combatants are said to be above the rest.

According to Phenom, Rashid, Guile, Akuma, Chun-Li, A.K.I., and Zangief feel like the best characters to win tournaments with at the moment. It’s certainly interesting to note that Rashid, Akuma, and A.K.I. are Season 1 DLC characters, suggesting that Ed is currently the weakest of the bunch since he’s one tier category lower.

Recently, Rohto|Tokido announced that he’ll be sticking to Ken rather than switching to Akuma as everyone expected. This implies that Ken is stronger than Akuma, but there are also those that believe that Tokido could be bluffing with his statement.

Regardless, Phenom claims that combatants in both the S tier and A+ tier categories are all tournament viable and offer consistency. If this is true, then it means that there are 15 tournament viable characters in Street Fighter 6.

Six other characters — Marisa, Jamie, Manon, Dhalsim, Lily, and Kimberly — are said to be mostly viable at regional events, but can sometimes do well at more stacked tournaments on a good day. Still, they’re not as consistent as most of the other fighters in the game.

Then there’s E. Honda. He’s been ranked as being the worst overall character with a heavy implication that he’s not viable in the current meta. Check it all out below:
