Eclipse Awards return to Breakers Palm Beach in January
The 54th annual Eclipse Awards will return to the Breakers Palm Beach in Florida on Thursday, Jan. 23, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Daily Racing Form and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters announced. The awards will honor Thoroughbred racing’s human and equine champions of 2024.
“We are thrilled to be returning to the Breakers Palm Beach for our third year in a row,” NTRA president and CEO Tom Rooney said. “Celebrating the success of racing’s human and equine champions is the highlight of the year, and the Breakers is the perfect venue to bring the industry together to do just that.”
The Eclipse Awards will be held two days before the Pegasus World Cup on Jan. 25 at Gulfstream Park. Ticket sales for the black-tie Eclipse Awards will begin on Monday, Nov. 18.
Produced by the NTRA, The Eclipse Awards are named after the great 18th-century racehorse and foundation sire Eclipse, who began racing at age 5 and was undefeated in 18 starts, including eight walkovers. Eclipse Awards voting is conducted by the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters, Daily Racing Form, National Thoroughbred Racing Association member racing officials and Equibase field personnel.
