Lady Gabriella Kingston leads the pack of best dressed guests at Royal Ascot 2024
The sun was shining in leafy Berkshire today as Britain’s leading ladies of sartorial elegance made their way down to the historic Royal Ascot racecourse to inaugurate 2024’s event. Thousands of revellers congregated in their finest race day-ready regalia for the start of the much-adored Summer Season highlight.
To kick things off in true regal splendour HRH King Charles and Queen Camilla were on hand to mark the start of the five-day horse racing extravaganza.
Dressed in an eye-catching confection of Cobalt-blue perfection, the Queen looked the picture of palace-worthy chic, co-ordinating the alluring hue into her imposing headpiece and decadent diamond jewellery.
Elsewhere in the royal precession, Camilla’s sister Annabel Elliot looked marvellous in midnight-sky shades of lace. Beside her sat the Countess of Halifax, who also chose a blue number for her grand appearance, opting for a bold polka-dot design.
A trio of beautiful blue would certainly do for this dynastic triad. But it was Lady Gabriella Kingston who took the crown for the best dressed guest today. Sat next to Princess Anne (the Princess in a vivid floral creation), the wife of the late Thomas Kingston made a rare appearance, calling upon a blush gown with a purple bloom print to make her enchanting entrance. She paired this piece with a matching asymmetrical millinery piece and oversized pearl earrings. Divine!
