Federer talks about his connection with Murray, Djokovic and Nadal besides tennis – Tennis Tonic – News, Predictions, H2H, Live Scores, stats

Roger Federer has stated that he thinks there is more than just tennis between himself and rivals Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. The Swiss say it’s because they’re all parents.

The Big Four—Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray—dominated men’s tennis from 2008 to 2017. Murray’s accomplishments fade in comparison to those of Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal. Still, between them, this group has won an incredible 69 majors.

The current season is mostly anticipated to be Nadal and Murray’s final one on the ATP Tour, as the Swiss retired in 2022. While Djokovic has experienced several notable upsets this year, he is still performing at his best level.

Federer highlighted the rivalry between the four men’s tennis titans in a recent interview. Nonetheless, the 20-time Grand Slam champion claims that their shared experience as parents has provided them with a talking point with one another.

Federer expressed his thoughts about it and said: “I also believe that what connects all of us, including Andy, is the fact of having been parents. Beyond all the games we have played and the rivalry, in that sense, we have a lot in common and to talk about.”

He added: “He (Djokovic) has two children, Andy has four and Rafa was then close to having his first [he would have it a month later]. It was beautiful to be able to experience all that as a family.”
