Norrie to Compete for Team Great Britain at Olympic Games Paris – TCU Athletics

FORT WORTH – Come July 27, Cam Norrie will serve and volley underneath the backdrop of the five interlocking rings of the Olympics.

Norrie, a three-time All-American for TCU from 2015-17, was selected to compete for Team Great Britain at the Olympic Games Paris.

He was one of four men tabbed by the British Olympic Association to represent Team GB in the singles draw alongside Jack Draper, Dan Evans and Andy Murray.

Norrie is the first British Olympian in the history of TCU tennis.

The Olympic tennis tournament runs from July 27-Aug. 4 at the Stade Roland Garros.

Norrie has ample familiarity with the sport’s most revered clay courts. The world No. 39, Norrie has made seven consecutive French Open appearances dating back to 2018. Norrie notched a trio of third round berths from 2021-23. He holds a 7-7 record at the annual Grand Slam tournament.

The Paris Olympics signify Norrie’s eighth international team competition. He has borne the British flag in four of the last five United Cups since 2020 and competed for Team GB in the Davis Cup for three consecutive years. Norrie has led the Brits to the quarterfinals twice in both the United Cup and Davis Cup.

Norrie has been ranked as high eighth in the ATP singles rankings and was the British world No. 1 from October 2021-June 2024. He broke into the top-10 of the world rankings following his memorable semifinal run at The Championships, Wimbledon 2022.
