The first round of the 2024 U.S. Open Golf Championship gets an early start Thursday as the world’s top golfers chase the Havemeyer Trophy and a major championship. Round 1 from Pinehurst No. 2 is scheduled to start at 6:30 a.m. ET with TV coverage on USA Network and streaming on-demand.

Unsurprisingly, Scottie Scheffler, the PGA Tour’s No. 1 player has been installed as an 11-4 betting favorite to win the U.S. Open after winning The Memorial Tournament last weekend in a sharp final effort before hitting Pinehurst this week. Returning U.S. Open champ Wyndham Clark, along with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and a host of other past, present and future top golfers will hit the course looking to win the four-round event, which runs from Thursday through Sunday with TV coverage of Round 1 on USA Network.
