West Texas A&M men’s, women’s basketball signings, transfers for 2024-25 season

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Texas A&M University’s basketball teams plan to continue their success with the addition of over 15 players so far this off-season, including several athletes from the area.

The Lady Buffs added nine new faces including talent from the Panhandle. The Buffs have signed six players so far in the off-season also including local talent.

Although the Lady Buffs lost in the Lone Star Conference Quarterfinals falling short of the 2024 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament, ending their season with 18 wins and 13 losses. The Lady Buffs lost a ton of talent with the departure of Jayla Burgess, Nyalam Thabach and Karley Motschenbacher to graduation.

WTAMU Women’s Basketball signings:

The Buffs end their 2023-24 season with an overall record of 30-5 and the Lone Star Conference regular season title. The Buffs went on and fell to Minnesota State in the NCAA Division II Final Four who would go to claim the championship title. The Buffs are set to lose their key players that led to this seasons success including Ryland HoltZach ToussaintLarry Wise, and Cameron Bell.  

WTAMU Men’s Basketball signings:

WT’s men and women’s basketball roster will continue to improve over the off-season with the addition of new faces for the 2024-2025 season. As more signings occur the list will be updated and if any players were left off the list comment their names below.
