HorseCenter: Top 10 horses we want to see in 2nd half of ’24

This week on HorseCenter, Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman reveal the 10 horses who they are most excited to see run in the second half of the 2024 racing season. With the completion of the Triple Crown, racing changes its focus to the year-end championships.

Matt and Brian have seven 3-year-olds on this mid-year watch list, led by the filly Thorpedo Anna, winner of the recent Grade 1 Acorn at Saratoga. The European sensation City of Troy from the barn of Aidan O’Brien is expected to make an appearance in America later in the year. The guys talk about just how good the Belmont Stakes runner-up Mindframe will become and what to expect from the West Coast star Nysos.

After his powerful victory in the Met Mile (G1), National Treasure became the leading candidate for horse of the year. He should face Señor Buscador and his $12 million in earnings at some point this year.

As always, Brian and Matt want to thank you for watching the show.
