TNA’s Ash by Elegance appears during Women’s title match at WWE NXT Battleground
Ash by Elegance — the former Dana Brooke in WWE — made her presence felt during the NXT Women’s title match at Sunday’s WWE NXT Battleground, fighting with Tatum Paxley and getting laid out by Jordynne Grace for her trouble.
Paxley came out from the crowd and grabbed Grace’s TNA Knockouts title belt after eyeing up the NXT title, running into the entranceway to distract her. Ash then came out out to fight over the belt, leading Grace to come out to greet both of them with belt shots to lay them out.
Grace lost to Perez shortly afterward as she countered a Juggernaut Driver into a cutter followed by Pop Rocks for the pin and win. Ash then taunted Grace after the loss.
Her past with WWE never mentioned other than a quick Vic Joseph reference to “That’s Dana…Ash by Elegance.”
Ash was released by WWE in September 2023 while she was in NXT, ending a decade-long run with the company. She signed a contract with TNA in January of this year, first appearing at Hard to Kill. She has had just seven matches thus far (6-1) and has not got a shot at the title.
Grace has an open challenge for her TNA title for next weekend’s Against All Odds.
