In match 17 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, England would have to score 202 to win against Australia at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.


Asked to bat first, the Aussies went off to a flying start courtesy of Travis Head and David Warner. However, despite not a single batter crossing the fifty-run mark, they managed to put 201/7. Warner top-scored with 39 while Jordan picked two wickets for England. 


Earlier English skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bowl first. England made no changes to their playing 11 from their washed-out match against Scotland while Australia brought in Pat Cummins to replace Nathan Ellis from the Oman game. 


England, who could not get a point in the match against fellow British side Scotland, will look to get over the line against the arch-rivals. 


Australia, who were bailed out by Marcus Stoinis’ brilliance in their first game against Oman, would be looking to make a big statement against the defending champions.
