Pornstar Riley Reid shares the exact salary she asked for to shoot adult movie
Adult actress Riley Reid has revealed the salary that she requested on the set of one of her movies.
Speaking to the podcast Itsdanielmac, the porn star opened up about many aspects of her career in the adult entertainment industry.
The subject of payment is a sensitive one in the adult industry.
You might be getting paid potentially thousands of dollars for one scene, but you will forever be on the internet doing whatever it was that the scene involved.
Many women who have previously worked in the adult industry have criticised how much the talent gets paid.
Among them was Mia Khalifa, who was infamously paid an insultingly small amount for videos, which went to be viewed tens of millions of times, and made a lot of money for porn production companies and streaming platforms.
Riley Reid is perhaps one of the most widely-known names in porn, so how much can someone like her ask for a scene?

The upshot of it is, it depends on what kind of scene a performer is shooting.
Scenes which are more physically demanding or more extreme in their nature will pay more.
Reid said: “When it’s your first an*l, your first DP, and your first g*ng b*ng a lot of time you can get a good chunk of change. Sometimes girls can get like $10k, sometimes they can get $15k – $20k.
“It kind of depends on what you do. If you do like a featured movie you might be able to get like $30,000.”
She added: “When I did my first an*l I got paid $15k for my first anal but I made the studio agree to let me shoot my own an*l scene and release it at the same time on my website.
“I was still able to monetise on my own site as well.”

The porn star went on to explain that she would often increase or decrease her rate for an*l scenes depending on how much she had been shooting.
She said: “Because I didn’t want to exhaust my a*s out and everything I kept my rate up, it was like $5,000 – $10,000. It kind of depended on the month.
“I was like okay, I’ll take some more a*shole we can lower the rate or like, let’s raise it up because I’ve shot a lot recently.”
She also added that women get paid more than men, with some male performers being paid $100 a scene, or even doing it for no money at all.
“Price wise starting out, sometimes he’ll get like $100 for a scene”, said Reid. “Sometimes even they might shoot for free in the beginning and have to do like ‘prove yourself’ scenes.”
