Three WT Standouts Earn Final Regional Rankings from ITA – Baylor

WACO, Texas — The Baylor women’s tennis team finished the 2023-24 season ranked No. 4 in the state of Texas and three Bears earned final singles regional rankings by the ITA, it was announced on Friday. 
 

The Bears finished fourth in the ITA’s regional team rankings in Texas, behind only national champion Texas A&M, Texas and Texas Tech. SMU (No. 5), TCU (No. 6) and Rice (No. 7) rounded out the top-seven. 
 
In singles, Baylor’s Miska Kadleckova ranked as the No. 11 player in the state, with Isabella Harvison checking in No. 14 and Liubov Kostenko ranking No. 17. 
 
A native of Slovakia, Kadleckova was named All-Big 12 Conference after going 17-4 in singles, including a 16-4 mark on court 1. She combined to go 15-7 in doubles, including a 9-2 mark in Big 12 Conference play. She finished the year ranked No. 97 in singles. 
 
Harvison, a product of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif., won 12 matches during the dual-match season in singles, including going 5-1 on court 3. She won 41 career singles matches at Baylor over her career. 
 
A native of Ukraine, Kostenko went 7-7 on line 3 in singles during the year, combining for 11 singles wins. The junior won 11 doubles matches combined in the spring. 
 
The Bears finished 17-13 on the year, won seven games in the rugged Big 12 Conference and advanced to the NCAA Stanford Regional. It marked the 18th NCAA Tournament appearance under Coach Joey Scrivano, the program’s all-time winningest coach.
