SEC offenses could have a tough time moving the ball through the air on Texas A&M over the years to come. Mike Elko is a bright defensive mind and, to little surprise, he hit the ground running with a tremendous 2025 recruiting haul on that side of the ball. Four of the top five players in his debut Aggies class are cornerbacks, each ranks inside the Top247, and all of them committed to the program this spring. Tied together with five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet, that unit gives Texas A&M about as talented of a class as any entering the summer months. And Elko is just getting started.

“I just love what Texas A&M is doing,” Ivins said last week. “And then you look at the expected visitors list here over the next few weeks. It is, like, Freaks List candidate after Freaks List candidate.”
