Sascha Zverev reveals that his father and coach taught him the Spanish way to play tennis – Tennis Tonic – News, Predictions, H2H, Live Scores, stats

In the on-court interview following his quarter-final victory at Roland-Garros 2024, tennis player Zverev reflects on his upbringing and training methods. He attributes his rigorous work ethic, which includes hours of running and hitting balls, to his father and coach. Zverev acknowledges the role of his size and power in his game but emphasizes the importance of the Spanish running technique and returning balls.

He admits to holding back on aggression but is content with his wins and reaching the semi-finals. Zverev also shares his philosophy on recovery, stating that he focuses on hard work during the offseason rather than after matches.

Believing that the best players work harder than their competitors, Zverev enjoys pushing himself to his limits and finds five-set matches less challenging. Overall, Zverev expresses his satisfaction with his current success and looks forward to the upcoming semi-finals.
