Brock men’s basketball set to open 2024-25 season at home – Brock University Athletics

The Ontario University Athletics (OUA) 2024-25 men’s basketball regular season schedule was announced on Wednesday, June 5.

Action begins on Thursday, Oct. 24 as the Badgers host the Guelph Gryphons in the home opener at 8 p.m. 

A key two-game stretch for the Badgers this upcoming season will be when the Ottawa Gee-Gees (19-3 last season) and Carleton Ravens (13-9 last season) make their way to Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. and Sun, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. Brock’s magical postseason run last season began with consecutive road wins over both Carleton and Ottawa. 

The Badgers head back to London on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. to take on the Western Mustangs in a rematch of last year’s OUA semifinal. In a thrilling finish, Brock defeated the hosts by a score of 75-72, earning the program’s ninth appearance at nationals.  

Paint the Meridian Red is back and will be held at the Meridian Centre for the second consecutive year and seventh overall as the Badgers host the McMaster Marauders on Friday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. 

The final regular season weekend takes place on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15 as the Badgers head to Toronto to battle with the Toronto Varsity Blues at York Lions. Both games are set to tip off at 8 p.m. 

All eyes will then be on the playoffs which start with the first round on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The quarterfinal round commences on Saturday, Feb. 22 while the semifinals take place a week after on Saturday, March 1. The Wilson Cup is scheduled for Saturday, March 8.
