8-Man Football All-Star Games Set for Saturday in Beloit

8-Man Football players from around the area will compete in the 39th Annual 8-Man All-Star Football games on Saturday, June 8 at Beloit High School’s Trojan Stadium.

Logan Meier of Lincoln will play for the West squad in the Division l All-Star Game, his coach Colby Hamel will serve as one of the assistant coaches for the team.

Three players from Victoria will suit up for the West squad in the Division ll All-Star game including Seth Schwien, William Scherrer and Landon Schmidtberger.  The Victoria trio will be joined on the West squad by Brody Batchman of Sylvan-Lucas.  Lane Homewood of Sylvan-Lucas was also selected to play in the game, but will not compete due to injury.  One of the West team’s assistant coaches is Natoma graduate Corey Dunlap, the current head coach at Kinsley.

The Division l game will kick off at 10 a.m. and the Division ll contest will begin at 1:30 p.m.
