Syracuse basketball leads for these 2025 4-star targets, per On3 prediction indicator

Five-star forward Sadiq White Jr. from Charlotte, N.C., got the ball rolling for Syracuse basketball in its 2025 class, when he recently gave a verbal pledge to the Orange over several other finalists.

Now ‘Cuse fans, myself included, are wondering who might join White in the future as part of the team’s 2025 cycle, a class that I might add could prove to be quite special and highly ranked.

As I’ve noted ad nauseam at this juncture, Syracuse basketball coaches have offered scholarships to more than 20 guys in the rising high school senior class, but the ‘Cuse staff is focused on a handful of priority targets these days.

What’s more, the Orange’s 2025 recruiting strategy seems to have somewhat shifted of late, as the ‘Cuse has doled out at least five new scholarship offers in this cycle dating back to mid-April.

I took a look on the On3 Web site at various Orange recruits in the rising senior class, and I noticed that the ‘Cuse was in the lead for a couple of them when I wrote this article, according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine (“RPM”).

By the way, here’s a detailed explanation of what the On3 RPM is all about. As I’ve stressed in the past, the RPM and individual analyst predictions for recruits can often be accurate, but they aren’t correct 100 percent of the time.

Still, it does give us a glimpse into where Syracuse basketball stands with recruiting targets. I’ll reiterate here that as high school prospects get new offers and take more visits in the future, the RPM’s of Orange 2025 four-star targets can – and likely will – ebb and flow.

Four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony from New York City
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball at No. 1, 89.7 percent
*As I wrote about recently, there are also multiple analyst predictions in the direction of the ‘Cuse for Anthony between the On3 Web site and Rivals.com.*

Four-star point guard Tyler Jackson from Baltimore
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball at No. 1, 54.4 percent

Four-star small forward London Jemison from Connecticut
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball at No. 1, 88.3 percent

Four-star power forward/center Matthew Gilhool from Philadephia
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball at No. 1, 67.5 percent
*I expect that this will change, as Gilhool said earlier this spring that he has reset his recruitment amid some coaching changes at some top suitors, including the ‘Cuse.*

Four-star guard Acaden Lewis from Washington, D.C.
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball is not near the top, however, the Orange just offered Lewis in late April, and he’s expected to visit the Hill. When that occurs, Syracuse basketball could move up in the RPM.

Four-star combo guard Derek Dixon from Washington, D.C.
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball is at No. 3, 19.0 percent (please note that earlier this year, the Orange was in the No. 1 spot)

Three-star power forward/center Asher Elson from New York City
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball is at No. 3, 16.7 percent

Four-star point guard Keyshuan Tillery from Albany, N.Y.
On3’s recruiting prediction machine: Syracuse basketball is at No. 3, 6.6 percent

Three other 2025 targets to mention, all of whom have received ‘Cuse offers over the past month or so. They are four-star small forward Shon Abaev from Florida, four-star shooting guard Dante Allen from Florida, and four-star wing Ryder Frost from Massachusetts.

Based on interviews they’ve given, media reports and comments from recruiting analysts, all three of them could end up taking visits to the Orange, and if they do, the ‘Cuse could move up closer to the top according to the On3 recruiting prediction machine.
