From now until July 1, Steam users can claim the award-winning 2020 Don’t Nod game Tell Me Why for free. Steam has been on a roll when it comes to its free game giveaways lately. In fact, this past month saw four other games given away for free through the popular digital distribution platform.
Steam users that have been good about claiming the freebies will have grown their collection quite a bit these last few weeks. While they are no longer available for free, Steam users had the chance to claim100% Orange Juice, Endless Legend, Machinika Museum, and Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War. But while those four titles may no longer be free, Steam users now have a different game to claim for their digital libraries.

Steam Reportedly Working on Major New Feature
A notable dataminer claims Steam is working hard on a highly anticipated major feature that’s long been requested by players.
Tell Me Why is free on Steam until July 1 to celebrate Pride Month. For the uninitiated, Tell Me Why is a narrative-driven, episodic adventure game where players play as twins Alyson and Tyler as they attempt to unravel a mystery that dates back to their childhoods. The game features gameplay similar to Don’t Nod’s Life is Strange series, and is notable for being the first big budget game to feature a transgender person as a main character. Critic reviews for Tell Me Why were somewhat mixed, but the game currently enjoys a “Very Positive” overall rating on Steam and managed to win some awards in the year of its release.
Tell Me Why is Free on Steam Right Now
Back in 2020, Tell Me Why won multiple awards, including Outstanding Video Game from the GLAAD Media Awards and Games for Impact from The Game Awards. On top of these accolades, Tell Me Why also snagged the Beyond the Video Game and Best Narrative Design awards from the Pegases Awards, and it was nominated for a variety of other awards as well. Needless to say, Steam users should be sure to claim the award-winning Tell Me Why for free while they still can.
Those that enjoy Tell Me Why‘s story may be interested in checking out other projects by Don’t Nod. The studio’s other games are quite varied, ranging from action hack-and-slash game Remember Me to visually striking puzzle platformer Jusant. Don’t Nod released action-RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden earlier this year, and is currently working on Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, which is likely to have gameplay similar to what Tell Me Why brings to the table.
