Bigun, Markovits Join Men’s Tennis Team in Nationally Ranked Recruiting Class – Princeton University Athletics

Meecah Bigun and Milan Markovitz will join the Princeton men’s tennis team from the Class of 2028, a pairing that gives the Tigers the No. 15-ranked recruiting class in the nation by TennisRecruiting.net.

Meecah Bigun, West Hollywood, Fla.

Bridgeway Academy (high school) … ITF world junior rankning high of 63 … played three of the four grand slam events in juniors (Wimbledon, US Open and Australian Open) … also competed for the US on the national junior Davis Cup team … ranked as high as No. 2 nationally for his class on tennisrecruiting.net in 2021 and 2022 … earned first ATP point in July ’22 at the USTA pro circuit event in Pittsburgh … career-high ATP professional ranking of 1373 and most recently earned ATP points by reaching the second round of the USTA Pro Circuit event at Orange Park, Fla. and Pensacola, Fla. events … twin brother, Kaylan, is currently No. 1 in his class on tennisrecruiting.net and will attend UCLA this fall … rated 12.33 by Universal Tennis Rating and 11.2 by World Tennis Number.

Resides in Barcelona and is graduating from Barcelona HS where he trains at Ad In Tennis Academy … currently has an ATP professional ranking of 1773 … won his first ATP point in Santa Margherita Di Pula, Italy ITF pro circuit event and followed that with an impressive win over the No. 500-ranked ATP player at Mataro, Spain ITF pro circuit event, earning another ATP point … father (Laszlo) competed professionally and represented Hungary in Davis Cup and the Olympics … rated 12.60 by Universal Tennis Rating and 7.4 by World Tennis Number.
