After a pretty wet April and May, we are back on the course and the Senior’s Golf League opened last week.
The Men’s League got rained out last week, and the Ladies group starts up this coming week.  There is also a FEDEX-type competition that is open for all players in the Men’s and Senior Men’s Leagues, and it starts up the first week of June.

Carter Snowden is back leading the Pro Shop and Diane is back serving beverages and snacks.  So we’re all set up for another great year of golf. The course is in great shape, the greens are running true and some members have had a bit of trouble with the speed of them. We all just need a bit of practice – it’s early in the year with all kinds  of opportunities to improve.

Senior Men’s Golf News

For the first week of Senior Men’s competition, we played the front nine holes.  Many players carried on to finish their full eighteen holes, but it was only their score on the front nine that counts.

In the B-flight, Charlie Schmalz shot 44 and won First Low Gross while Mike O’Donahue and Lorne Lazenby tied for Second Low Gross with scores of 45, one shot back of Charlie. Chris Page won First Low Net with a net 33 and Gord Moore took second Low Net with a net score of 36.
