Wednesday tab: Seize the Grey leads 12 graded winners

Preakness winner Seize the Grey worked at Churchill Downs on Wednesday in preparation for a start in the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga next Saturday.

The Arrogate colt breezed six furlongs in 1:13.0 for trainer D. Wayne Lukas. It was his first timed work since before his win in the Grade 1 Pat Day Mile on the Kentucky Derby undercard.

Seize the Grey was one of 12 graded-stakes winners with published works Wednesday.

Fev Rover (Gutaifan), a Grade 1 winner (2023 Beverly D.), worked four furlongs in 48.8 seconds at Woodbine on Wednesday morning. It was the 14th fastest of 21 works at the distance. Her previous work was 11 days ago going four furlongs at Woodbine.
