Fashion icon, 74, ‘stops ageing’ in stunning swimsuit snaps
Fans are adamant that Vera Wang has the fountain of eternal youth hidden away after she shared a stunning selection of swimsuit snaps.
The fashion designer previously put her young looks down to daily McDonald’s orders and donuts – as well as a lot of hard work, naturally.
It looks like that is paying off as the 74-year-old sent us all into a spin when she modeled her new sunglass collection in an impromptu poolside photoshoot.
Taking to Instagram, she could be seen posing in a white one-piece, with huge earrings and bejeweled sandals, along with oversized sunglasses.
Alongside the upload, she celebrated the arrival of the sunshine with the caption: ‘My SLIM AARONS moment …Happy Summer!!! ☀️ 😎.’
Right on cue, Vera’s followers couldn’t get over the post and flooded the comments section with praise, celebrating her youthful looks.
Samgdumas cheered: ‘HOW is it possible you look like this. I need to put down the slice of pizza immediately.’
Mikestrypes agreed: ‘Time bows down to you and stops moving.’
‘Eternal youth. You must have Benjamin Button syndrome, I mean the good reverse,’ Katyctran suggested.
Shushilamaria quipped: ‘When you stop aging in your twenties. What a Queen you are!! [sic].’
As Ricardo_pina_ricky added: ‘I do not believe you’re over 70, incredible.’
Vera has made headlines over her ageless social media posts in recent years, and has broken the internet on multiple occasions.
Shedding light on the wild reaction that her pictures spark, she previously suggested that people have the wrong idea of what people in her age range actually look like.
‘I guess it’s just that people have an idea of what 70 looks like today. I have so many friends that are 65 to 70 that look fabulous,’ the wedding dress legend told People Magazine. ‘But I have to say that hopefully, it’s a good thing.
‘I hope it makes women feel more comfortable with themselves or are confident, or there are many definitions of what a woman can be.’
‘Nobody believes me when I say it, but working keeps you young. It keeps your mind young, and your spirit up and your relevance up, which I think affects your body.
‘I have to say, sleep, staying out of the sun without sunblock, and good lighting is everything too!
‘And, one of the things I am known to like to do is have a vodka cocktail. There’s no question about that, I do. I have a vodka at some point after five or six o’clock, maybe towards seven.’
Aside from sun cream and strong cocktails, Vera is also partial to a fast food hit when the mood strikes,
‘I do eat McDonald’s, absolutely,’ she told PageSix last year. ‘I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.’
‘Basically, I’ve worked my whole life, so it’s really been about work,’ she added. ‘I think work keeps you young and stimulated.
‘I work very long hours, I’ve raised two daughters. I think keeping busy is the best antidote [for] good health.’
