US Open tennis fans are melting down over Ticketmaster ‘nightmare’

Ticketmaster is in deep water following a blip that has angered tennis fans across the country.

The U.S. Open is set to take place from August 26 to Sept. 8, and fans are ripping the ticket provider over the inability to attain seats.

Fans attested to the cumbersome nature of the event rollout, which has left droves of potential in-[erson viewers scratching their heads.

“Is anyone else having the worst time of their lives trying to get US Open tickets for the AMex presale?? What in the literal hell is going on @Ticketmaster @AmericanExpress,” @LRasmussen_ wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Another fan, @madhulikasikka, wrote, “Hey @AskAmex tried to get @usopen presale tickets for Amex cardholders, only to be told that I need a code, but Amex didn’t send me a code so I was shut out. What gives? Also, @USTA @Ticketmaster tickets on pre-sale are actually resale tickets. What’s a fan supposed to do?,” accompanied by a meme of a disgruntled man in his car and pounding his steering wheel while “I’m so sick of this flashes” across the image.

Founded in 1881, the U.S. Open is a hardcourt tennis tournament held annually in Queens, is chronologically the sport’s final Grand Slam tournament each year, and awards five primary championships: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
