Speed figures: These are last week’s fastest stakes winners
Haulin Ice, a 3-year-old filly trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., got the highest Brisnet Speed Rating, 100, among last week’s stakes winners for her victory in the black-type Azalea at Gulfstream Park.
The daughter of Coal Front, ridden by Emisael Jaramillo, was one of three entries for Joseph in the seven-horse field. He also had the favorite, R Harper Rose, who finished fifth. Haulin Ice pulled away to win the seven-furlong dirt sprint by 9 1/2 lengths, earning a 91 Beyer Speed Figure in the process.
Haulin Ice, unraced as a 2-year-old, brought her record to 7: 4-3-0 with the win.

The highest Beyer of the weekend went to Star of Mystery, winner of the Quick Call (G3) at Saratoga for trainer Charlie Appleby.
With Flavien Prat riding, the 3-year-old Kodiac filly won the 5 1/2-furlong turf sprint by 1 1/2 lengths as the odds-on favorite. She also got a 95 Brisnet rating.
