Buckley (2) 141-10 Northop 2nd XI (13) 146-5

Unbeaten leaders Northop seconds were grateful to Darren Williams for an unbeaten 64 which helped the visitors triumph by five wickets at Buckley.

Bucks were put into bat and bowled out for 141 off 36.3 overs, Ollie Fellows highest contributor with 34, Rocco Franco 27 and Carl Jutson 24.

Mark Poynton picked up 3-29, Matthew Mullkarkey 3-37 and Darren Williams 2-21 for the table-toppers.

Northop made it to 146-5, Williams’ half-ton off 60 balls and including 10 fours and three sixes by far the best score, Fellows notching 3-27 for the home side. Points: 13-2 Northop seconds.

Abergele (12) 122-10 Bethesda (3) 95-10

Ranjith Thozhuthingal (bowling) starred with the bat for Abergele in their win over Bethesda

Abergele’s modest total of 122 at Pentre Mawr proved plenty enough to clinch a cracking win over high-flyers Bethesda.

Ranjith Thozhuthingal was Gele’s batting hero with 51 as the hosts were dismissed in 42.2 overs, Richard Lee Williams 3-11 from nine and Andrew Day 3-22 for Pesda.

Skipper Carwyn L Williams carried his bat for 44 not out, but the Ogwen visitors were sent packing for just 95, Edward Rooney 2-10, Lalmon TV 2-12, David Moulson 2-24 and Lewis Tolond 2-31.

Brymbo 2nd XI (12) 133-7 Hawarden Park (3) 129-9

Opener Joss Roberts moved to just one short of 500 league runs for the season with a vital 50 in his team Brymbo seconds’ toppling of Hawarden Park on Saturday.

Asked to bat, Hawarden were limited to 129-9 off 45 overs and the total would have been much lower but for an impressive 67 from Phil Bradfield.

Gareth Pugh snared 4-27, Sion Edwards 2-13 and Jordan Williams 2-15 for the hosts.

In reply, the Steelmen reached 133-7 in 40.2 overs, Roberts the stand out while Jack Williams added a useful 20.

Matthew Gentry took 3-30 and Evan Shaw 2-22 for the losing visitors.

Connah’s Quay (3) 200-6 Conwy (12) 204-6

A high-scoring contest at Central Park saw Conwy snatch the honours.

Put into bat, Quay were 28-2 before a stand of 169 between Brody Camp (82) and Darren Jones (71) helped the hosts set 200-6 off 45 overs, Calum Jones 2-40 for the visitors.

Opener Evan Williams then led the charge with 92 as Conwy stormed to a winning 204-6 in 40.2.

Williams put on 94 for the first wicket with Shaun Davies (35) and added another 67 for the third alongside Dan Davies (20).

Jack Griffiths bagged 2-32 and Mali Auty 2-42 for the Deesiders.

Dolgellau (8) 84-10 Pontblyddyn (8) 84-10

Tied game at The Marian – quite a rarity in the NWCL.

Invited to bat, Pont were all back in the hutch for 84, Nick Thomas 33, Jaco Oosthuizen a stunning 7-19 off 7.4 and Sion Francis 3-11 from nine for the home team.

Dolgellau looked in deep trouble at 45-7, but they managed to recover to 82-9 before losing their final wicket on the same total the opposition made.
