According to a release from Georgia Senator Warnock, the investment co-sponsored by Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff is expected to create 428 manufacturing jobs and 250 construction jobs for the Blue Bird Company in Fort Valley.
The investment will bring a new 600,000 square-foot manufacturing facility that will produce zero-emission electric school buses, “with a particular focus on the education and training of its current and future workforce,” according to Warnock’s office.
Warnock’s office said the grant will enable Blue Bird to meet the exponential growth of demand for EV school buses and widen access to transportation for Georgia students.
